Coaching and mentoring for HR professionals

Eleanor Deem

About Eleanor

Eleanor has been working in HR for more than 20 years, after moving from retail management. She started face2faceHR in 2008, bringing her brand of practical, down-to-earth HR to small businesses mainly in the Cambridgeshire area.

Eleanor has been coaching and mentoring other HR professionals since 2013, guiding them to give high quality practical advice to employers and develop their employment law knowledge and business success at the same time.

As well as writing weekly articles on HR themes aimed at small business owners, published on face2faceHR.com, Eleanor also writes regularly about HR consultancy on myhrbusiness.com and about general HR themes, thoughts and trends, on LinkedIn and on myhrbusiness.com.

Eleanor is also a content provider for the CIPD, writing articles and blog posts for the CIPD website, for their PeopleSkillsHub and for HRInform, and has written regularly on people management issues for non-HR publications.

Eleanor is also a Non-Legal Member of the Employment Tribunal in the South East region.

Coaching and mentoring

In response to popular request, as well as coaching and mentoring HR consultants in the face2faceHR franchise, Eleanor is also now working with other HR professionals through individual coaching and mentoring.

Mentoring includes access to Eleanor for on-tap employment law advice, discussing a case, how to handle a tricky employee issue, how to turn a difficult situation into a positive result, achieving quick results in a pragmatic way.

Coaching includes helping HR professionals identify where they want to be in their HR career and what steps they need to take to get there, or guiding and supporting HR practitioners in their journey towards an identified goal, whether it is HR consultancy or something else.

Eleanor’s aim is to develop a relationship that provides whatever you need, so it might involve coaching or mentoring or a combination of both. A typical arrangement would be a set fee per month for one or two structured video calls, and access to Eleanor for advice at any point.

HR franchise

After several years’ experience running face2faceHR, Eleanor developed a franchise opportunity for HR professionals looking to run their own business with a perfect blend of independence and support.

This provides the unique opportunity to benefit from all Eleanor’s consultancy expertise and experience and to hit the ground running, making your own HR consultancy more successful more quickly, and removing a lot of the stress and uncertainty involved in going it alone.
